My favorite blackberry feature.
Phones shrunk the world. The distance between people has been shortened. Before phones you had to physically go and meet someone to communicate. With phones you just pick up the phone and 'walla' you can chat.
Cell phones made the world even smaller. Whereas with phones you could only be accessed if you were next to the phone, with cell phones you can be accessed anywhere. In the car. On the toilet. At a funeral. There is no place that completely escapes the piercing ring of the cell phone.
If you thought the world couldn't get any smaller, you thought wrong. Blackberries and other smart phones have shrunk the world again. Not only can we call you, we can send you smses, bbms, emails and so on and so forth. With your phone on the world has complete and utter access to you. We know you are available. You can be accessed. There is no escape.
My favorite feature on my blackberry is the 'data off'' feature. It enables me to reclaim my privacy. My ability to be present.
With the 'data on' you are always on. On call. Available. Accessible. Reclaim yourself. 'Data off.'
